Playsafer is Rubbercycle's loose-fill safety surfacing, made from 100% recycled shredded passenger tire rubber processed into 3/8-inch to 3/4-inch granules and chunks, with loose fiber and foreign material removed and steel content reduced to less than 0.1%.

The published bid specification states Playsafer exceeds ASTM F1292 for impact attenuation and carries IPEMA certification for conformance to that standard, meets CPSC playground surfacing guidelines, and is ADA accessible per ASTM F1951-08 when installed at a compacted 6-inch depth (about 14 pounds per square foot).
